The study was carried out in the zoology insectary at the Department of Zoology, Entomology and Fisheries Sciences, Makerere University. The overall aim was to determine the optimum temperature for hatchability of house cricket eggs. Six temperatures that is; 26, 28, 30, 32, 34 and 36°C were tested to determine their effect on the hatchability of the house cricket (Acheta domesticus) eggs. Heating incubators set at these different temperatures were used to incubate eggs and monitored up to the hatching time and the effect of temperature on incubation time, percentage hatchability and weight of nymphs were determined.
